The Course:

While performing on stage, both solo and in bands, over the years I have met many people who express a desire to play a musical instrument. They would say things like, "I had 2 years guitar as a kid and quit. I wish I had stuck with it". Or, "Me and my wife paid $2500 for the electric piano sitting in our living room collecting dust".

Trying to be helpful, I would say things like "It's never too late to learn" or, "why don't you just take lessons". I was wrong.

No, not wrong that "It's never too late" but having learned as a kid and majoring in music in college, I had never went out as an adult and tried to take lessons.

While there are plenty of great music teachers out there, the courses they teach have mainly been designed for children. I believe music education for children is extremely important, having taught both kids and adults for years.
